Partners have flexible options to choose from for the best solution according to their actual bicycle types and components configurations in order to enhance the innovation in their product lines. The system is a comprehensive solution that runs with a triple-sensor-mechanism having in its core the torque sensor system and getting the adaptive and accurate power working on with the best selection of motors, batteries as well as a sophisticated mobile phone application. Furthermore, the system is connected to the cloud end for an upgrade option on the firmware remotely to improve users’ riding experience or add new functions.

The VeloUP!™ Smart Drive System was developed independently by TSINOVA. Through the use of triple-sensor-mechanism with its core technology in the torque sensor unit, the system renders a calculation by milliseconds on the parameters of torque value, pedaling frequency and speed and with the realization of such multi-sensoring integration, the system “understands” riders’ intentions and road conditions in a “blink of eye”. Having obtained all this information, the system adopts an innovative bionic controlling algorithm which regulates an adaptive and accurate assisting power that provides the riders a pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable riding experience.

SENSORS

The sensors are equipped onto the bottom bracket for the detection of torque value, pedaling frequency as well as speed; the main controller with the integration of the sensors may determine with accuracy the rider’s intentions and road conditions.

MOTOR CONTROLLER

The motor controller, which is integrated in the battery base, regulates the power output with an advanced bionic algorithm that produces the result with a response of millisecond and a safety-ensured speed in microseconds.

BATTERIES

The batteries are available in three structure selections, namely kettle battery box, rack battery box, tail-attached battery box. in order for the best adaption to various types of bicycles, the capacity of the battery can be selected between 5.2Ah – 10.4 Ah accordingly.

MOTORS

The motors are to be selected from the types of rear cassette type, rear screw type and front motor with 2 rated power types for options (180W/250W) for the best adaption to various types of bicycles.

INTERACTIVE UNIT

There are two types of interactive formats to be chosen. The interactive unit can be used for the communication with the system, adjusting the changing gears and power output modes as well as the display of real-time information of riding speed, battery level as well as output power.

START CYCLING

When Start cycling, the rider pedals very hard with a lot of force while the speed is close to zero, the VeloUP!™ Smart Drive System automatically and swiftly senses the level of the force riders put on the pedals with the torque sensor mainly at work to provide for the adequate power output. On the contrary, normal bicycles without assisted power will put a challenge to the riders whenever they start cycling and other e-bikes with only rotation-detection triggers are capable of providing to the rider any assisted power at this state.

FLAT ROAD CYCLING

When riding on a flat road, the riding speed change a great deal and vary all the time, the VeloUP!™ Smart Drive System regulates the power output automatically with the triple-sensor-mechanism (torque value according to the force riders put on the pedals, pedaling frequency as well as speed), and adjust the outputted power according to the rider’s riding speed changes (increase and decrease)

UPHILL SLOPE OR AGAINST THE WIND

When cycling uphill or against the wind, the rider normally pedals very hard while the speed changes all the time, the VeloUP!™ Smart Drive System regulates the power output according to the rider’s cycling state.

DOWNHILL SLOPE OR FAVORABLE WIND

When cycling downhill or with a favorable wind, the rider normally pedals at ease while the speed changes all the time, the VeloUP!™ Smart Drive System regulates the power output according to the rider’s cycling state, and when necessary cuts off the assisted power ensuring the safety of the rider.
